SORRY TO KEEP YOU WAITING
It’s been a long time since a male artist has given us the sounds of vintage R&B mixed with modern day vibes-the type of sound that waters your soul and makes you yearn for more. Well, the wait is over. Hearing the outcry of R&B fans everywhere, Atlanta native, ZaRio, drops his new EP Sorry to Keep You Waiting. With his uptempo track “Let's Ride", ZaRio takes us on a ride reminiscent of classic Usher, Michael Jackson and Bobby Brown. He fulfills all of the ladies’ desires with more bangers "Happy" and "Dreams & Fantasies" and mesmerizes with the sultry, heartfelt classics, “Story of My Life” and “Supernatural Girl.”
ZaRio is a long standing advocate, activist and organizer of the community and describes a passionate and raw reality of The Times with his single “Unite or Die” and its remix. ZaRio uses "Unite or Die" as a soundtrack to encourage organization efforts to end violence, building better and safer neighborhoods as well as to reinforce the respect and protection of women.
If you like the softer side of R&B, feast your ears on the falsetto (yes falsetto) ballad, “It’s You”, as ZaRio gives us sounds reminding us of Maxwell with a hint of Prince.
He embodies all of his inspirations from Boys 2 Men, Stevie Wonder, and Brian McKnight to Marvin Gaye, Prince, Usher to the Late Great King of Pop Micheal Jackson as demonstrated in the cross over Pop Rock fused with R&B song “Do What I Want To.” What doesn’t ZaRio do? As the lead producer and writer of this project, ZaRio pours out his soul to us with this project, but he would say his most endearing quality is his love for God and his people. For several years, he put his musical talents on hold to change the plight of his community. For years he ventured into the trenches of some of the most crime-ridden, poverty-stricken neighborhoods to give love, light and hope with his non-profit, FreeWorld Foundation. This organization spearheaded efforts such as the National Day of Non-Violence, Gang Summits, Woman Up^, and calling 1000 Men and Women for a March to make their communities safe, clean and successful. Teaming with R&B multi platinum producer Errol “EZ” Taylor, he’s back to make his musical debut as a tribute to true R&B fans everywhere. With “Sorry to Keep You Waiting,” industry ears are perking up as some are calling this body of work the best since Michael Jackson’s Thriller.
ZaRio is currently a Top 20 Independent R&B artist with a hit single currently out called “She Don’t Know Love.” This single has reached #29 on the R&B Billboard Charts, #1 on Independent Digital Radio, and top 10 on iTunes. The music video has garnered over 1.2 million views on YouTube.
